From My Heart

“सह्याद्रीच्या कुशीत वसलेल्या निसर्गरम्य वडगाव बुदुक गावात माझा जन्म झाला. बालपणी पारंपरिक संस्कारांचे बाळकडू घेतलेला मी — श्री. अंकुश रामचंद्रराव मोरे (गाव – वडगाव बुदुक, तालुका – खेड, जिल्हा – रत्नागिरी).

गावातील बाल्यावस्था संपल्यानंतर आणि तारुण्याची चाहूल लागताच, पुढील शिक्षणाकरिता वडिलांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली मुंबई महानगरात भविष्य घडविण्याचा संकल्प करून, सन १९७८ मध्ये गोरेगाव (मुंबई) येथे वास्तव्यास आलो.

इयत्ता सातवीपर्यंतचे शिक्षण वडगाव बुद्रुक येथील जिल्हा परिषद शाळेत झाले. आठवीसाठी वडिलांनी गोरेगावमधील नंदादीप शाळेत माझ्या प्रवेशाची चाचपणी केली. वडिलांचे चांगले पुण्यकर्म म्हणा, अधिकृत पटसंख्या ८० असूनही तत्कालीन मुख्याध्यापक अरविंद वद्य गुरुजी यांनी मला ८१वा विद्यार्थी म्हणून प्रवेश दिला. त्या वेळी त्यांनी दाखविलेला उदात्तपणा माझ्या मनाला भावला. विद्यार्थी कसे घडवावेत याचा बोध त्यांनी आपोआपच मला दिला.

बालपणापासून कबड्डी खेळाची आवड असल्याने, शाळेत दाखल झाल्यापासून शालेय पातळीवर कबड्डी खेळाचा श्रीगणेशा केला आणि अविरतपणे आजतागायत ४२ वर्षे या खेळाची मनःपूर्वक जोपासना केली. एखाद्या खेळात तन-मन अर्पण केल्यावर मिळणारा मान व अभिमान मी देखील अनुभवला आहे.

कबड्डी खेळाला अंतिम लक्ष्य मानून केलेल्या मेहनतीमुळे, जिल्हा, राज्य, अखिल भारतीय आणि जागतिक स्तरावरील कबड्डी पंच परीक्षा मी उत्तीर्ण होत गेलो. त्याचबरोबरीने अभिनव क्रीडा मंडळ (गोरेगाव) या संघातून २५० पेक्षा जास्त खेळाडूंना जिल्हा, राज्य आणि अखिल भारतीय पातळीवर खेळण्यासाठी तयार केले.

कबड्डी क्षेत्रातील सहकाऱ्यांच्या मदतीने, जिल्हा ते अखिल भारतीय स्तरावरील कबड्डी स्पर्धांचे यशस्वी आयोजन करून, खेळाला एक उत्तुंग दर्जा प्राप्त करून देण्यासाठी आपला वाटा उचलला. कबड्डी खेळातील माझी निष्ठा आणि योगदान पाहून, गोरेगावमधील मान्यवर संघटक मित्रपरिवाराने माझ्या सन्मानार्थ राज्यस्तरीय कबड्डी स्पर्धा घेण्याचा मानस व्यक्त केला आहे.

या आयोजनाच्या निमित्ताने, महामुंबई कबड्डी लीग आणि सुपर सिनियर कबड्डी लीग मधून मिळणारे आर्थिक दायित्व मी मला घडविणाऱ्या अभिनव कला क्रीडा अकॅडमी (रजि.) आणि अभिनव क्रीडा मंडळ (गोरेगाव) यांच्या विविध सामाजिक कार्यांसाठी देण्याचा निश्चय केला आहे.

कबड्डीच्या उन्नतीसाठी आणि नवीन खेळाडू घडविण्यासाठी, सन २०१५ साली मुंबईत काही कबड्डीप्रेमी समाजबांधवांना सोबत घेऊन अभिनव कला क्रीडा अकॅडमी स्थापन केली. या अकॅडमीच्या माध्यमातून, आजवर महाराष्ट्रातील सुमारे २५० खेळाडूंना राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर नाव मिळाले आहे.

ग्रामीण भागातील खेळाडूंना संधी मिळावी या उद्देशाने, येत्या दोन वर्षांत रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्यातील खेड तालुक्यात, धवडे बांदरी विभागातील महाळुंग येथे दोन एकर जागेवर “राजे चंद्रराव क्रीडानगरी” उभारण्याचा मानस आहे. या क्रीडानगरीत कबड्डी सोबत इतर अनेक आंतरराष्ट्रीय खेळांचे प्रशिक्षण तज्ञ प्रशिक्षकांकडून दिले जाईल.

या महत्त्वाकांक्षी प्रकल्पासाठी, आपण सर्व समाजबांधव व क्रीडाप्रेमींनी सामाजिक दायित्व निधी म्हणून यथाशक्ती आर्थिक योगदान द्यावे, अशी विनंती आहे. आपल्या मदतीमुळे ग्रामीण भागातील उगवते खेळाडू नक्कीच प्रगती करतील.“

“I was born in the picturesque village of Vadgaon Budruk, nestled in the lap of the Sahyadri mountains. In my childhood, I Ankush Ramchandrarav More (Village – Vadgaon Budruk, Taluka – Khed, District – Ratnagiri) have been imbibed with the cultural values and traditions.

After spending my early years in the village, as I stepped into adolescence, I set my sights on building my future in the great city of Mumbai under my father’s guidance. In 1978, I moved to Goregaon, Mumbai to pursue further education.

Until the 7th standard, I studied at the Zilla Parishad School in Vadgaon Budruk. For my 8th standard admission, my father approached Nandadeep School in Goregaon. By my father’s good fortune and the kindness of the school, even though the official capacity was 80 students, the then Headmaster Arvind Vadya Guruji admitted me as the 81st student. The generosity and magnanimity shown by Guruji at that time deeply touched my heart and taught me, without words, the true art of nurturing students.

From a young age, I was passionate about Kabaddi. As soon as I enrolled in school, I began playing Kabaddi at the school level and have devoted myself wholeheartedly to the sport for the past 42 years. I have experienced, like many successful players, the immense honor and pride that comes from dedicating one’s body and soul to mastering a sport.

With relentless effort and by treating Kabaddi as my ultimate goal, I successfully passed the district, state, national, and international-level Kabaddi referee examinations. Alongside, through the Abhinav Krida Mandal (Goregaon) team, I have trained and developed over 250 players who have gone on to represent at district, state, and national levels.

With the help of my colleagues in the Kabaddi community, I have played my part in organizing Kabaddi tournaments from district to national levels with great precision and excellence, helping elevate the sport to new standards. Recognizing my dedication and contribution, the respected organizing friends and community in Goregaon have decided to host a State-level Kabaddi Tournament in my honor.

On this occasion, I have decided that any funds generated from the Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League and Super Senior Kabaddi League will be donated to the Abhinav Kala Krida Academy (Regd.) and Abhinav Krida Mandal – Goregaon for various social causes.

To promote Kabaddi and nurture new players, in 2015, I registered the Abhinav Kala Krida Academy in Mumbai, bringing together several Kabaddi enthusiasts from the community. Through this academy, around 250 players from Maharashtra have risen to fame at national and international levels.

With the aim of giving rural players a platform, I have planned to establish the “Raje Chandrarav Kridanagari” within the next two years on a two-acre site in Mahalung, Dhavde Bandari region, Khed Taluka, Ratnagiri district. This sports complex will provide training not only in Kabaddi but also in several other international sports, under the guidance of expert coaches.

I humbly appeal to all community members and sports lovers to contribute financially, as per your capacity, towards this noble initiative as part of your social responsibility. Your support will surely give a lifeline to rising players from rural areas.“
